AI Supplements Insight is an independent ingredient-transparency engine. Most supplement companies don't manufacture their own ingredients — they license trademarked ones (like BioPerine® or KSM-66®) from specialist manufacturers the label never mentions. We trace every trademark to the company that actually makes it, across 121,000+ products registered in the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database.

Our research method

Every branded ingredient in our registry is validated against independent, citable sources — never guessed:

Manufacturer & supplier disclosures — the ingredient maker's own published brand and specification pages.
Trademark records — registrations and filings that establish who owns the mark.
Patents and trade press — corroborating the technology and ownership history, including acquisitions (e.g., Albion® → Balchem; InterHealth → Lonza).
Label statements — the trademark attributions printed on real product labels in the federal database.

Each entry stores its evidence — source type, URL, and the date we retrieved it — plus a fingerprint of that evidence so we can detect when a source changes and re-verify. You can open the receipts on any ingredient page under "How we verified this."

Two tiers, clearly labeled

● Verified We saw the paperwork: manufacturer disclosure, patent filings, or a matching supplier record.

● Provisional A strong lead we haven't nailed to a direct disclosure yet. Listed openly — we'd rather show our work than pretend.

What we will never do

No rigged rankings. Comparisons are computed from label data; nobody can pay for placement.
No invented numbers. Doses are copied verbatim from labels. If an amount isn't disclosed, we say "not disclosed" — never estimate it. We don't convert between unit systems (IU vs mcg) behind your back.
No unsourced claims. "Clinically studied" appears only when the manufacturer's own published material says it, attributed as such.

Where the data comes from

Product labels come from the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements' DSLD (Dietary Supplement Label Database) — the federal registry of supplement labels — refreshed with on-demand lookups for products we haven't indexed yet. Ingredient ownership comes from the sources above.

Product images. Label images are served from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database and are displayed solely to identify products for factual comparison. All product names, label artwork, and trademarks (including the ® ingredient marks we trace) remain the property of their respective owners; their appearance here does not imply any affiliation or endorsement. Rights holders who would like an image corrected or removed can contact us at contact@aisupplementsinsight.com and we will act promptly.
